ImmGen Microarray Phase 1

Gene-expression microarray datasets generated as part of the Immunological Genome Project (ImmGen). Primary cells from multiple immune lineages are isolated ex-vivo, primarily from young adult B6 male mice, and double-sorted to >99% purity. RNA is extracted from cells in a centralized manner, amplified and hybridized to Affymetrix 1.0 ST MuGene arrays. Protocols are rigorously standardized for all sorting and RNA preparation. Data is released monthly in batches of cell populations.

Immunity and Defense Genes in Peripheral Blood Monon...

Large-scale gene expression profiling of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) patients could provide a molecular description that reflects the contribution of diverse cellular responses associated with this disease. The aim of our study is to identify peripheral blood gene expression profiles for RA patients, using Illumina technology, to gain insights into RA molecular mechanisms. The Illumina Human-6v2 Expression BeadChips were used for a complete genome-wide tr...

Integrated Network and Microarray Analysis to Identi...

A significant proportion of acute myocardial infarction (MI) patients develop heart failure (HF). Early identification of patients at risk of developing HF after MI would be a major breakthrough. An approach combining the power of biological information networks and the precision of microarray analysis was undertaken to identify biomarkers of HF. A set of three new biomarkers of HF was identified and provided significantly improved prediction accuracy than microarray or network analysis alone...

Interactions of cytokines in peripheral blood cells ...

SLE patients are always with various disease manifestation. Various cytokines are pointed interacting and playing pathological roles in SLE although the etiopathology is still obscure. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of cytokine interactions in the immune response of SLE patients. Overexpressed interferon-inducible(IFI) genes were confirmed in peripheral blood from SLE patients. Using network-based analysis on the immune response-related genes, several networks including cy...

Intrinsic self-DNA triggers inflammatory disease dep...

Inflammatory diseases such as Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome (AGS) and severe systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are generally lethal disorders that have been traced to defects in the exonuclease Trex1 (DNAseIII). Mice lacking Trex1 similarly die at an early age through comparable symptoms, including inflammatory myocarditis, through chronic activation of the STING (stimulator of interferon genes) pathway. Here we demonstrate that phagocytes rather than myocytes are predominantly responsible for ...

Lung biopsies from asthmatics pre- and post- steroid...

To better understand the therapeutic potential of targeting Th2 inflammation in asthma, we performed genome-wide expression profiling of endobronchial biopsies in asthmatics and healthy controls stratified according a previously defined three-gene Th2 signature in bronchial epithelium. The Th2 signature is defined as relatively high expression of POSTN, CLCA1, and SERPINB2.

Macrophages heterogeneity in human atherosclerotic plaques

This study aims to characterize the transcriptional profile of Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor induced macrophages (GM-MØ) and M-CSF macrophages (M-MØ) and to investigate in situ a subset of genes and their products specific to each phenotype in human atherosclerosis plaques
