The purpose of the Smart4Health project is to develop and evaluate the prototype of the Smart4Health platform for the upload and storing of citizens' health-related data, and to offer it as a service. The Smart4Health service providing various features allows to manage and selectively share citizens' data using a web browser on mobile devices or computers. Both development and evaluation of the Smart4Health platform and service are meant to be citizen-centred, thus involving users in order to best meet their needs and to test the features of the service in a number of everyday life settings. The service also allows users to provide health data in pseudonymised form for research to the Smart4Health Research Platform. In addition, citizens can choose whether or not the data is also transferred in anonymised form to the European infrastructure for life science information represented by its national node for Luxembourg, ELIXIR-LU.
